Club, Competitive, & Elite Ninja Teams
What is the CNA Team?
The Carolina Ninja Academy Team is a group of kids (ages 6-17) that want to compete in the sport of Ninja, and have chosen to put hard work, dedication, and commitment into improving their skills in order to compete at Ninja competitions. Our Team includes some of the most talented, dedicated, and hard-working Ninjas that come to Carolina Ninja Academy. The Team also includes individuals who have outstanding character and attitude in and outside of the gym.
For the 2025 - 2026 season, we will have THREE Teams:
Elite Team (Coach Kevin)
Competitive Team (Coach Jenna & Coach Kevin)
Club Team (Coach Jenna)
Those distinctions are based off of individuals skill within the fundamentals of Ninja. Those parameters have been set by the coaching staff (the exact standards for each team can be found at the gym). The Elite & Competitive Team will mainly compete at World Ninja League (WNL) Tier 1 competitions, while the Club Team will mainly compete at WNL Tier 2 competitions. Competition schedules will be released around the Try-Out date and are based on the WNL schedule.
Why should I join the Team?
The CNA Team is an opportunity to train and compete at the highest level Carolina Ninja Academy has to offer. You will be committed to the sport of Ninja, with the desire to improve yourself both on and off the gym floor. You will be able to compete in competitions representing your home gym, create relationships with fellow team members and competitors, and ultimately earn the invaluable gift of learning a new sport!

The
Club Team will practice

How do I join?
Please see the list of criteria that our coaches focus on during their selection of Team members.
Sign Up for Try-Outs (Concluded) - please send us an email or come by the gym to talk with our coaching and management staff. We would love to talk to you about what the Team is all about, and if you want to try-out, we will put you on the list! Frontdesk@carolinaninja..com
Talent - how skilled you are at Ninja. This Team is focused on finding the most skilled Ninjas in our area, so we will be evaluating how well you can perform Ninja obstacles. Talent is definitely not everything, but it's important!
Commitment - how committed you are to the sport of Ninja. Yes, you don't have to ONLY think about Ninja, but we want you to be committed enough to show up to all the practices and give it your all at each one. We are looking for people who want to always push harder, test themselves, and get better.
Attitude - if you are going to be a part of the Team, your attitude must be respectable towards our coaches, other athletes, and to the sport of Ninja. A good attitude matters a lot in life, as well as on this Team. Listening skills are also a big part of what our coaches look at.
Familiarity with our Coaches - if you do not regularly go to Carolina Ninja Academy, you can definitely still try-out, but it is a big benefit for our coaches to know who you are, and for you to have a rapport with CNA.
Please don't hesitate to talk to our coaches here at Carolina Ninja Academy for any other questions regarding the Team.
